Denise Marie Antoine, is a L.A. based Yoga & Dance Teacher. She trained in Modern dance, with Karen McDonald and Classical Ballet, with Stefan Wenta. She performed with Lula Washington's Youth Ensemble and attended L.A. County H.S. for the arts. Upon graduating from LACHSA, she was accepted to The Ailey School, The Boston Conservatory, Tisch and NYU to continue the study of dance. She declined acceptances to these institutions, due to lack of financial resources. Her career plans unexpectedly changed and she discovered a new path to my purpose in a yoga class.
She received her 200 hour yoga certification with Holistic Yoga Flow (Travis Eliot & Lauren Eckstrom) and her 500 hour yoga certification with Yoga Salt (Tamal Dodge). She is also certified in Mat Pilates by Set and Flow Yoga, Trauma Release Yoga by Uprising Yoga and Reiki Level 1 by International House of Reiki.

This level up practice will strengthen your hip flexors, quads and calves. You may flip your dog all the way into eka pada 1 and/or a one leg twisted prayer lunge.
Full body flow with attention to quads, plank holds and one legged balance extensions. Peak poses including bound Warrior 3, standing splits, room for handstands and chapasana.
Twist and lengthen your way into Dancers Pose, with a number of juicy backbends and Warrior 1 variations along the way.
This practice focuses on hip openers and side plank variations that can help you work towards Ekapada 2 and Vashistasana variations.
Strengthen your inner thighs and cultivate more balance in postures using support from both your arms and legs.
